Late start to a long spring 2016

It feels like the start of September, the sun coming and warming the green fields in bursts, sun showers often, but we feel that winter is losing its grasp on us as the days lengthen.

The flat leaves lying prostrate on the ground are usual indicators that something unusual is growing... these Mosquito or Midge orchids were growing near the Warren River and too pretty for words 😄 hence the photo...

The flowers are now coming out regardless of weather - and there are a lot of them!

If you are heading south drive past and spend some $ in Yarloop and Waroona - the flowers in the forests in the bushfire zone are brightening up a horrific burn.

See you soon!
